About Me

I am an incoming master’s student and aspiring anthropologist with a regional focus on the Middle East and North Africa. My research interests include media, mobility, cybercultures, political subjectivity, Islam, and epistemology and expertise. I have previously conducted research on topics including Turkish television and the ‘Kurdish question,’ cancer in Arab American communities and Somali Canadian hip hop culture.
